Week 4 Post !

As we start looking for colleges it is important that we try to set ourselves apart from the normal person because it is extremely important to stick out from the norm. Last spring Peyton and I both went on a mission trip to Jamaica through our school. This trip changed both of our lives and showed us how thankful we should be for everything we have. When we returned we both felt called to help the impoverished people of Jamaica because they don't have everything they need to support there families. We wanted to help contribute in any way we could, so we decided to raise money for ACE ministries. Colleges these days are extremely difficult to get into and they look for originality when applying. Genius hour has given us the opportunity to help while also helping stick out to colleges. We have been able to devote a whole class period each week to help our project become a reality. Genius hour helps us stick out to colleges because it opens a door of creativity and originality in which other students don't have.
