Week 9 Post !

Last week, we gathered some information for our event and some of the details for each game. We also bought wristbands, snacks, and water for the kids on amazon. This week has been our most successful week so far because we have accomplished a lot of the finishing details for our project. This week we have gathered every detail for our fundraiser and we have set an official date to host the event at in the lower school gym at our school. These details include everything from what games we will to play to each volunteer that will be present at our event. We have also found a supervisor to be at our event, the middle school French teacher, Coach Salato. Coach Salato is a very outgoing, fun and social person that we are so glad that he will be joining us! Next week, we plan to go to the lower school gym and get a better picture of what our event will look like and the most efficient way to set it all up. See you next week. :)

Week 8 Post !

Last week, we accomplished some of our goals that we had set for that week. We tried reaching out by emailing to some faculty at our school however some did not respond. We have learned now, that we will need to directly speak with them in order to get the information we need for our event. This week we have accomplished many different goals. We have recently emailed faculty at our school for very specific details to make sure that our event runs smoothly. We have emailed the athletic director at our school for the waivers and available gym times that we can host our event. We have also emailed the lower school nurse for assistance in case anyone gets injured at the event. All of these emails will bring our project together to make sure we can run as smoothly as possible. Next week is a very short week at our school because of the holiday on monday. Next week, we plan to meet with the our english teacher, Mrs. Jaynes, and the FRA lower school principal, Dr. West, to make our details and ideas are set up perfectly!

Thanks,
Peyton & Rachel

Week 7 Post

This week we have accomplished a lot for our main fundraiser for the lower school students. We have talked to Mrs. Jaynes and made a long list of things to accomplish before we follow up with Dr. West. We started reaching out to the extended care program to see if there students would be interested in partaking in our event. We have also talked to many of our very responsible friends who have agreed to be chaperones for the event along with Peyton and I. Right now, Rachel and I are both working on emailing some leaders and teachers in our lower school to ask for specific details and planning. We have made a spread sheet on GoogleDocs that has most of the information we will need to run our main event for the lower school students at Franklin Road Academy. This spreadsheet includes details from head to toe about our event and every aspect will be looked on to make sure it runs as smoothly as possible.
